The teenager who hacked
into Paris Hilton's mobile phone and published
its contents on the internet earlier this year
has been sentenced to 11 months in a juvenile
correctional facility. The accused was a
17-year-old boy from Massachusetts, according to
a Washington Post report on Wednesday, but
prosecutors refuse to reveal his identity
because he is a juvenile under federal law.
Prosecutors did confirm that the boy pleaded
guilty to nine counts of juvenile delinquency -
including hacking, theft of personal information
and making bomb threats to high schools - in
Boston's US District Court last week. During his
incarceration and for a further two years after
his release, the unnamed boy is prohibited from
using computers, mobile phones or any other
technologies capable of connecting to the
internet. |
